Welcoming DIACC and CCICADA to the Digital Identity Ecosystem
February 16, 2017

When building an identity ecosystem for the greater good, there are two things that are every bit as important as a great concept: great partnerships, and strong support. Late last year we announced that Canada’s leading banks are supporting as the first to be a part of the national digital identity ecosystem we’re all driving towards.

We’re excited to announce that we are building on our collaboration with two important contributors to the community effort – the Digital ID and Authentication Council of Canada (DIACC), and the Command Control and Interoperability Center for Advanced Data Analytics (CCICADA), a research center of excellence funded by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security Science & Technology Directorate.

Thanks to collaboration with CCICADA/DHS, DIACC and SecureKey are receiving a new Applied Research Grant of up to USD $800,000 to support with the design, development and commercialisation of the digital security framework that the consumers of tomorrow’s digital economy need. We’re working actively to develop an architecture that will improve both security and privacy, and give consumers the choice, control and convenience they deserve when sharing digital assets online.

Interested in what we’re building? You’re not alone. We’ve put together a detailed overview that explains more, which you can download here.

This new funding will be critical in helping us get there quickly.

With the right foundation, and an extensive network of leading community partners, together we will bring to market the solution to the digital identity security and privacy issues we face today. And with partners like DIACC and CCICADA/DHS supporting the cause, we’re poised to create an ecosystem that will lead the world.
