Two tickets to Fraud Rocks, please [VIDEO]
August 6, 2014

When was the last time you purchased event tickets from an online provider?

If it was StubHub, you might want to begin evaluating your records, as the Associated Press reports the popular ticket reseller has fallen victim to a breach that compromised in excess of 1,000 user accounts.

Once the attackers infiltrated these accounts, they used them to fraudulently buy and resell tickets. To give you an idea of how damaging just 1,000 accounts lost can be, the AP noted that prosecutors have already indicted 10 suspects from several nations who caused an estimated $1.6 million in damages from the attack.

This is yet another instance of user accounts being overtaken by international data thieves.

Can more advanced dynamic authentication slow the pace of these crimes?

We will see you next time.
