SecureKey to present at GSMA Mobile World Congress in Barcelona
February 20, 2014

The GSMA, a major mobile operator advocacy group, will hold its annual Mobile World Conference in Barcelona, Spain, from Feb. 24 to the 27 this year, while the event will feature discussions, demonstrations and forums regarding emerging trends in computing. SecureKey will be attending this year's event, and will host a demonstration to communicate how telecommunications can create scalable, user-friendly and effective digital identity management using mobile apps that include its briidge.net Connect multi-factor authentication service.

Whereas many consumers and business leaders had been waiting on their governments or other entities to optimize security and identity management processes, SecureKey believes that telecoms are the best positioned to reach the general population, as well as the private sector. The GSMA Connected City Zone will be held in Hall 3 of the event, and will include a demonstration for digital identity management in partnership with The Human Chain.

Individuals who would like to book a meeting with SecureKey should fill out the form on this webpage. SecureKey will be showcasing its Concierge service, which is a privacy-enhancing, multi-party identity and authentication platform that serves as the underlying framework for the Government of Canada's Federated Identity Service. Visitors who want to learn more about this demonstration should refer to this webpage for additional summation.

This demonstration will not be the only component of the Mobile World Conference that SecureKey will have a hand in, as Robert Blumenthal, EVP of Business Development, will speak at the "Service Opportunities for Mobile Identity" forum on Thursday, Feb. 27 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the Conference Village. Additionally, Didier Serra, the acting Executive Vice President for Global Partnerships, will moderate a panel discussion titled "The Role of Mobile Identity in Application Development" on Wednesday, Feb. 26 at 4:00 p.m.
