The World Economic Forum describes the emergence of digital technologies that affect our lives as the Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR).[1] The 4IR is a new era that builds and extends the impact of digitalization in new and unanticipated ways. In the 4IR, technology is embedded more than ever within societies in several fields including robotics, artificial intelligence, nanotechnology, quantum computing, biotechnology, the Internet of Things, 3D printing and autonomous vehicles, among many others.

This digital revolution brings important benefits to individuals. From ease of communications to greater accessibility of information, digital products and services make our lives better –  materially and intellectually.

Despite its great benefits, the digital revolution also brings great concern. According to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada, polls reflect that more than 90 per cent of Canadians are concerned about their privacy.[2]

At SecureKey, we believe that enhanced privacy should be incorporated as a foundation into all digital transactions, whether that be the purchase of goods online, the streamlining of your business’ data processes, the validation of a digital identity or a myriad of other options.  We believe that only with true privacy, where Canadians’ digital rights and digital identities are put first, can individuals then trust in the digital technology of the future.

Our partners at Levio share this belief. Levio’s commitment to providing privacy-enhanced digital services to Canadian businesses highlights their main goal of delivering solutions that take advantage of new technologies to help their customers become more efficient and profitable. The three major parts of its service offering – transformation and innovation, software integration and configuration, and digital and mobile solutions –  make Levio a great partner to meet our goal of enhancing trust in digital privacy among Canadians. Our partnership will benefit both business and consumers as we roll out our consumer-centric privacy-enhanced identity authentication programs across Quebec.

As we march into the 41R, a brave new digital world – where privacy and security are being tested more than ever – partnerships like these are a testament to the value of collaboration, and are essential to continue delivering the high-quality digital services that Canadians deserve.

With this strategic agreement, Levio joins SecureKey’s host of innovative partners, including Canada’s leading financial institutions, telecommunications companies, governments, credit agencies and many others like-minded organizations. The partnership represents the importance of technology aligning with business, to build the next-generation and secure digital platforms of the future, where Canadians will again have confidence in their privacy.

We are pleased to welcome Levio to our cluster of partners to better contribute to the digital transformation in Quebec and Canada.
